Rairdon Subaru Partners with Sackcloth & Ashes to Give Back to Local Homeless Shelters

Subaru is all about community.

Drivers enjoy invites to special gatherings and other perks like the opportunity to give back to their local community. Here’s how we’re blanketing ours with love.

Blanketing Seattle With Love

Rairdon’s Subaru of Auburn is giving back to the Seattle area it loves with this partnership.

By partnering with Sackcloth + Ashes, we’re raising awareness for

homelessness while also hoping to inspire similar efforts.

Here’s how it works:

For every new Subaru sold, Rairdon’s Subaru of Auburn is giving you a Sackcloth blanket, and in turn, Sackcloth & Ashes will donate a blanket to a local homeless shelter in Seattle.

(Note that blankets will be made available for as long as supplies last).

More About Sackcloth & Ashes

Sackcloth & Ashes was founded in 2013 when Bob Dalton was inspired to help the homeless population
when his mother, a hardworking single mother, found herself living on the streets in 2013.

The company sells 100% Italian, recycled, wool blend blankets that are certifiably eco-friendly, and cruelty-free.
Sackcloth believes that the sustainability of their products is as important as the second blanket they give to those in need.

For every blanket purchased, Sackcloth & Ashes gives a blanket to your local homeless shelter.

Blanket the United States Campaign

On June 1st, 2018 Sackcloth & Ashes launched its first major campaign:
Blanket The United States.
The goal of this campaign is to donate ONE MILLION blankets to homeless shelters by 2024.

Rairdon Subaru’s Past Philanthropy Efforts

Here are some of Rairdon Subaru of Auburn’s earlier philanthropy efforts.

  • Our big toy drive for Seattle Children’s Hospital. During the 2018 holiday season, Subaru of Auburn played a part in Rairdon’s company-wide toy drive. This effort raised 2000+ toys for our littlest heroes at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
  • Partnering with Hopelink. Kids are the future! We helped local Seattle youth stay supplied for back to school through a backpack drive with Hopelink.
  • Supporting Mary’s Place. One of our favorite charities near me, we were thrilled to support Mary’s Place this past spring. In honor of International Women’s Day, we donated a portion of the proceeds from every car sold to this local homeless shelter.
  • Teaming up with Pets for Patriots. We heart pets. In the past, we’ve donated $50 for every car sold to Pets for Patriots, an organization that matches military vets with shelter animals.

Rairdon’s Culture of Care

People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.

That’s why Rairdon Auto Group created its Culture of Care.

This company-wide initiative underscores the group’s commitment to supporting its local community through efforts like philanthropy.

It also serves as a call to action for how the auto group conducts business with its customers.

With Rairdon’s Culture of Care, you get quality vehicles, a friendly team, and professional service every step of the way.
