How to Connect/Pair Android Phone Using Android Auto in Your Subaru | Starlink
Android Auto is a simpler way to use your phone in the car. Whether on your phone screen or on your car display, Android Auto was designed with safety in mind. With larger touch targets, a simplified interface, and easy-to-use voice actions, it's designed to minimize distraction so you can stay focused on the road.
First Download the free Android Auto App here:
Before you connect your phone for the first time, turn on your car. Make sure it's in park (P) and that you have time to set up Android Auto.
- Unlock your phone's screen.
- Connect your phone to your car using a USB cable.
- Your phone might ask you to download or update certain apps, like Google Maps.
Follow the steps on the screen to give Android Auto permission to access your phone's features and apps. For the best experience, we recommend accepting all requests.
Bluetooth will be turned on automatically when Android Auto is connected to the car via USB.
On your car display, select Android Auto. Follow the instructions to get started.
