Engines and Fuel Mileage

The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek comes with either a 2.0-liter Subaru Boxer® 4-Cylinder making 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque, or a 2.5-liter Subaru Boxer® 4-Cylinder producing 182 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. The Base and Premium trims with the 2.0-liter motor can get 27 mpg city and 34 mpg highway fuel mileage, respectively. The 2.5-liter motor Sport and Limited trims get just 1 mpg less per driving cycle. 

Easy To Love

When the Portland Tribune put the Crosstrek through its paces, Jeff had this to say: “On the road, the Crosstrek is impressive for its price. You can transition from pavement to dirt or gravel surfaces without a care in the world. The Crosstrek is nimble and smooth on the road, with an extraordinarily quiet cabin for a vehicle of this size. This car is easy to drive, and easy to enjoy. There really is no bad choice in the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek lineup.”

Wallet Friendly

Mr. Zurschmeide also raved about how you can stay under $30,000 and get some of the best safety and technology, “Perhaps the most important thing about the new Crosstrek is the price. The 2024 Crosstrek starts at $26,290, including the destination fee. For that price you’ll get the EyeSight safety and driver assistance system, which includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and lane centering. You also get X-Mode, which is Subaru’s go-anywhere traction and progress control system. The base trim includes twin 7-inch touchscreens for infotainment and control systems where other brands might give you just one. But if you spend $1,150 more — still keeping your purchase well under $30,000 — you’ll get a large 11.6-inch touchscreen, oriented vertically like a tablet.”
