Subaru of Auburn is Celebrating Women’s History Month

Did you know that March is Women’s History Month? It’s true, and it’s the perfect time to recognize and honor the many women who came before us. We are talking about the automotive industry, of course, and the women who shaped automotive into what it is today.

After all, if it weren’t for women, we wouldn’t have critical safety features like turn signals or non-reflective glass on our cars. We wouldn’t even have lines on the roadway to designate lanes. That now common feature on the highway is thanks to Katharine Blodgett, whose near collision with a large truck gave her the idea, which she campaigned for until it was first implemented in California.

Of course, women’s history isn’t limited just to automotive. No matter where you look throughout American history, there are women who have changed the world and moved it forward. The link below explores tons of these stories, and in honor of Women’s History Month, we encourage you to take a look through some of the stories and images available.
