Brand Recognition

Let’s kick things off with some recognition for the entire Subaru brand. While most, if not all, of the brand’s vehicles have each won their fair share of awards, so too has the brand itself. To list some of the most exciting, Subaru has been the Most Trusted Brand according to KBB.com for the past eight years in a row, it has earned more IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ awards than any other brand since 2013 (as of 02/23) and, according to Experian, 96% of Subaru vehicles that were sold within the last decade are still being used today. Here are a few others:

  • 2022 IntelliChoice Best Overall Value
  • 2022 Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Award (6x)
  • 2022 Overall American Rally Association Champion
  • #1 in Satisfaction, Dependability and Product Quality according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index

Subaru Crosstrek

The brand’s entry-level crossover has built quite the reputation for itself through the years. In 2022, it earned an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK rating – including the highest rating possible for front crash prevention as long as it’s equipped with the award-winning Subaru EyeSight suite of advanced safety tech. The Crosstrek Hybrid did the same, though it brought home a TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating. The vehicle also brought home the Best Resale Value award from KBB.com for the third year in a row, as well as several IntelliChoice awards:

  • Excellent Value
  • Highest Retained Value
  • Lowest Ownership Cost

Subaru Forester

Perhaps one of the more recognizable vehicles the brand produces, the Forester has been recognized as being the lowest 5-Year Cost to Own vehicle in its class according to KBB.com, who has also said it has the Best Resale Value in that class for the past three years, this one included.

Subaru Outback

If the Forester isn’t the most recognizable, it might be the Outback. This iconic crossover has earned a TOP SAFETY PICK+ while achieving both the highest possible front crash prevention and side impact ratings from the IIHS; and it, too, was recognized as the Best Resale Value and 5-Year Cost to Own vehicle in its class in 2022. Like the Crosstrek, it earned a couple of IntelliChoice awards: Lowest Ownership Cost and Lowest Fuel Costs.

Subaru Ascent

One of the newer vehicles on the lineup, it has already begun building a legacy for itself sure to last. While equipped with EyeSight, it also earned the highest rating possible in the front crash prevention test, which surely helped it snag its TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating from the IIHS. KBB.com recognized the vehicle for its 5-Year Cost to Own, while IntelliChoice echoed that sentiment with a Lowest Ownership Cost award.
