2024 Impreza and Crosstrek Are Subaru’s Newest IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK Winners

Rairdon’s Subaru of Auburn is proud to announce that the most recently designed Subaru models currently on sale, the all-new 2024 Impreza compact hatch and Crosstrek crossover, both received a 2023 TOP SAFETY PICK award by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The Impreza additionally received a TOP SAFETY PICK + award, which is the institute’s highest designation. The models join the majority of the Subaru lineup as TOP SAFETY PICK winners:

2023 TOP SAFETY PICK + Winners

• 2024 Ascent (TSP for six consecutive years)
• 2024 Impreza 5-door (Total of four TSP+)
• 2024 Outback (TSP for 15 consecutive years)
• 2024 Solterra 

2023 TOP SAFETY PICK Winners

• 2024 Crosstrek (Total of six TSP+)
• 2024 Legacy (TSP for 18 consecutive years)
• 2024 Forester (TSP for 17 consecutive years)

Subaru models have a long history of being TOP SAFETY PICK winners. In fact, for the past ten years, Subaru has received a cumulative total of 70 TOP SAFETY PICK+ awards, which is more than any other brand. To qualify for the 2023 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award, a vehicle must earn a “Good” rating in the following impact tests:

• Updated side impact 
• Driver-side small overlap front
  • Passenger-side small overlap front 
  • Original moderate overlap front.

   

In addition, standard headlights must be rated “Good” or “Acceptable”. Available front crash prevention systems must earn “Advanced” or “Superior” ratings in both the daytime and nighttime vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations.
