It’s no secret how dedicated Subaru is to their impact on more than just the automotive industry. While they’ve steadily become one of the most popular brands on the market over the past several decades, they’ve also shown their commitment to corporate citizenship. As a result, they’ve had quite the social impact through the years, so we were happy to see this commitment recognized with wins for three prestigious awards in the field earlier this summer. Let’s go over which awards Subaru managed to win and how they likely got there.

2023 Engage for Good Gold Halo Award for Best Education Initiative

Subaru Love Promise Committment to Corporate CitizenshipThe Halo Awards are presented by an organization called Engage for Good. Each year they are hosted to celebrate those companies who have made a significant social impact through marketing and other programs. This year, Subaru received the 2023 Gold Halo Award for Best Education Initiative in recognition of the automaker’s relationship with AdoptAClassroom.org and the 2022 Subaru Loves Learning initiative. Throughout 2022, Subaru and its retailers donated a total of $3.3 million to over 650 high-need schools and nearly 6,750 teachers throughout the country.

Civic 50 2023 Honoree

The Civic 50 Awards are handed out each year to the 50 most community-minded companies in the country. Its inception was in 2012, and since then it has become a national standard for corporate citizenship. This marks the third consecutive year that Subaru has been recognized as an honoree in the Civic 50!

2023 Axios Harris Poll 100 Reputation Rankings

Each year, the Axios Harris Poll 100 releases a list that highlights the 100 most visible brands in America. Thanks to a survey of the American public, they compile these 100 brands and then rank them according to their reputation. That means this isn’t a “top 100” list, but rather a list of the brands that are at the forefront of American minds. They then survey which of these brands have the best and worst reputations, so making the list isn’t necessarily a good thing. For Subaru, however, they received a “very good” score, which landed their rank in the top 20 overall, and the top three for automotive brands. Other rankings, of which there are six total, include “Excellent,” “Fair,” and “Very Poor.”
